The town of Springfield is made up of citizens who work hard and enjoy the place where they live.
This is a good town and many contribute to it in many different ways and for that we are all very thankful.

There is a need for new volunteers to join in and help in many areas and in new areas that only the volunteer may envision ( note the new skateboard park) at this moment. There is a need to bring new ideas and new skills to bear on old ways of doing things. New volunteers can help make this possible by joining existing committees, or establishing new committees. Volunteers can help out in many big or small ways by asking at the town office or contacting the selectmen, committee chairs, librarian, fire and rescue or the historical society.
